October 3, 2019Linda Sittig, local author, believes that every woman deserves to have her story told. She is drawn to write about strong women and strong girls who persevered to follow their passions and achieve their goals. She highlights the stories of extraordinary women who wanted to make the world a better place. The women she writes about are relatively unknown, like Isabelle Romée. But their stories will touch your heart.

November 7, 2019Kerry Molina is an artist, writer, teacher, and tutor, as well as the owner of Yellow Brick Road Studio and Enrichment Workshops, Kerry Molina was voted Lifestyle’s 2018 Best Local Artist. She holds a BA in Art History from Ithaca College and an MA in Museum Studies from The George Washington University.

Cancelled Local historian Mary Lipsey will deliver a talk on women spies and soldiers who hailed from all walks of life. Many used their femininity and ingenuity to pass on vital information about the enemy. However, the lesser-known story is about women who donned uniforms and posed as men to fight the war.
